The role of Town of Whitecourt Peace Officers is to enhnace public safety and regulate community standards our community.  Peace Officers have the authority to enforce select Provincial statutes, the Traffic Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, Littering and the Provincial Offences Procedures Act, and are also responsible for enforcement of Town Bylaws. 

Peace Officers of the Town of Whitecourt have been appointed as through the Alberta Solicitor General and Public Security Officer Program under the Authority of the Peace Officer Act.
