Recycling
Recycling is encouraged! To help you in your recycling efforts, the Town of Whitecourt and Ever Green Ecological Services offer residential curbside recycling pickup. Pickup is Fridays, weekly and is for residential customers currently being charged for garbage collection on their Town of Whitecourt utility bill. The recycling program accepts the following items:
shredded paper newspaper box board
office paper magazines flattened cardboard
food cans milk cartons clear glass products
plastic containers #1-7

For County residents, multi-family dwellings, and mobile home parks who currently do not participate in the residential program can bring their blue bags filled with the above items, to the Transfer Station.

Household Hazardous Waste
Help keep household hazardous waste out of the sewer system and landfill by taking it to the Whitecourt Transfer Station for free safe disposal. Household hazardous waste such as antifreeze and paint are accepted any time of the year for free safe disposal. Commercial and industrial hazardous waste are not accepted.
