Trevor Thain Mayor When Trevor and his wife, Lynn, moved to Whitecourt over 10 years ago they instantly fell in love with the community and the people. Retired after 34 years in banking, Trevor is a past President of the Whitecourt Golf & Country Club and a former Director of the Whitecourt Chamber of Commerce. This is Trevor’s third term as Mayor of Whitecourt. Maryann Chichak Councillor The 2010-2013 term is Maryann's first term on Whitecourt Town Council. Maryann moved to Whitecourt from Fox Creek in 2005, and "absolutely loves Whitecourt and all that it has to offer families of all ages." She is the mother of two, and manages a local business. Norm is a former business owner and remains a practicing pharmacist in the local area. Bill McAree Councillor Bill has been a Councillor since September 1994 and has resided in Whitecourt for over 20 years. Bill is a paramedic and Area Supervisor with Associated Ambulance Service. Derek Schlosser *Councillor* Councillor Schlosser has been on Council since 2009. He is a teacher at Percy Baxter School and previously served as a Town Councillor from 2004 to 2007. Williard Strebchuk Councillor Williard has been a Town Councillor since October of 2007. Councillor Strebchuk has been a businessman since 1983, and has lived in Whitecourt since 1986. His interests include economic development and tourism, and his out of Town commitments include memberships on: the Northern Alberta Development Council, the Strategic Tourism Marking Committee and the Alberta Central Tourism Destination Region.
