Press Release - Paving continues as part of Whitecourt’s Street Improvement Program

Crews continue to pave various locations throughout town as part of the 2020 Street Improvement Program.  Knelsen Sand and Gravel is completing the work, and the tentative paving schedule (weather permitting) for the next week is listed below. 

  • Tuesday, July 21 - Dahl Drive
  • Wednesday, July 22 - Dahl Drive
  • Thursday July 23 - Scott Safety Centre
  • Friday, July 24 - Memorial Point and 49 Avenue
  • Saturday, July 25 - 52 Avenue and Dahl Drive
  • Monday, July 27 - 53 Avenue in West Whitecourt
  • Tuesday, July 28 - Miscellaneous patching work

Paving will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Residents should be aware that there may be travel delays in the areas listed above, and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Roads will remain open to traffic, and motorists are asked to obey all posted speed limits, and parking restrictions.
