Whitecourt utility crews are working to repair a water main break on 47 Street, between Sunset Boulevard and Sakwatamau Drive.  Crews anticipate the work will be completed today.

47 Street between Sunset  Boulevard and Sakwatamau Drive will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic Saturday, January 9; access will be provided to area residents only.  Barricades will be posted, and motorists are asked to use alternate routes.

Crews are running hoses so that water service to the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre and Spruceview Seniors Lodge can continue.  Water service to some area residents will be affected; all properties affected by this  interruption will be notified directly.  

Crews will be taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of the worksite, and the patience and cooperation of motorists and residents is appreciated.
