Facilities, Parks & Playgrounds
March 25, 2020 Press Release - COVID-19 Update for Whitecourt
As part of an ongoing effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all playground structures located in Town-owned parks within Whitecourt are closed effective immediately. Closures will be in effect until further notice.
The Town of Whitecourt understands that families are home and looking for ways to stay active. Residents are encouraged to utilize local parks and pathways, which remain open. Please follow social and physical distancing practices as recommended by the Province of Alberta.

The Town of Whitecourt developed a playground replacement program in 2014, which has outlined priorities for the next several years. Over the last few years, Baly, Blueberry and Wagner playgrounds, as well as equipment at Southland Park have been replaced.
