Wednesday, August 10 

FREE Bus tour for seniors 60+

The bus will take seniors for a tour around Town to see all the blooming yards, and a couple of gardens maintained by Communities in Bloom Volunteers.

The bus will depart Spruce View Lodge at 1:45pm, and from the Allan & Jean Millar Centre at 2:00 p.m.

Enchanted Forest Walk Begins

Head out on our enchanted forest walk at the Forest Interpretive Centre. Fairies, gnomes, and magical creatures hide out along this 1km trail, so grab our magical hunt checklist and see if you can find them all. Checklists can be picked up at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre, trail entrance or go online: https://rec.whitecourt.ca under special events to print it off. Drop off completed checklists at the
Allan & Jean Millar Centre and receive a prize!

Creatures will only be hiding in the forest from September 10 - October 7, 2022, so be sure to find them all before they're gone!

GriefShare - Weekly Grief Support Group

If you have experienced the death of a loved one, whether your loss is recent or from years ago, you are welcome to attend GriefShare. You do not have to journey through your grief alone. GriefShare is a confidential, faith-based support group facilitated by caring, compassionate people who will journey with you through one of life's most difficult experiences. You will receive support and encouragement from people who understand what you are going through as you recover from your loss.

GriefShare support group meets Tuesdays, from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm at Crossroads Community Church, 4719 44 Avenue, in Mayerthorpe.

Each weekly meeting includes a video seminar, small group discussion and personal workbook exercises. There is also a time of fellowship and a selection of snacks and beverages to enjoy each evening. This weekly support group costs just $25 which includes all materials plus your personal GriefShare Workbook. Each week is designed to 'stand alone' and is not dependent on attending the previous week's session. Next session begins September 13, 2022. Pre-registration is required; please call 780-786-2695.

Enchanted Forest Walk Ends

Head out on our enchanted forest walk at the Forest Interpretive Centre. Fairies, gnomes, and magical creatures hide out along this 1km trail, so grab our magical hunt checklist and see if you can find them all. Checklists can be picked up at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre, trail entrance or go online: https://rec.whitecourt.ca under special events to print it off. Drop off completed checklists at the
Allan & Jean Millar Centre and receive a prize!
