November is Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta

It is a time to increase awareness of the warning signs of family violence and the resources and supports available so we can work together to end family violence and build healthier relationships in our communities.

Residents are asked to turn on an outdoor light, hang a glow stick in a window, or plug in holiday lights for the duration of the night to shed light on the issue of family violence in our community.

The Town of Whitecourt FCSS Grant is offered to community organizations providing social prevention programming not normally funded through their annual budgets.

To be considered for the grant, a representative from the group/organization is required to attend the FCSS Grant Workshop.
