Get Here

Whitecourt is surrounded by miles of forested lands, raging and meandering rivers, and so much in between. So get out, get on the road, and get HERE.

Sledding in the Snowmobile Capital of Alberta, jet boat races on the Athabasca River, tubing on the McLeod River, camping at Carson Pegasus Provincial Park; take a breath - there's more. How about quadding? A challenging golf course? Cross-country skiing? Hunting? It's all here.

A welcoming and enthusiastic community, great recreation, unlimited opportunity - and we're only one and a half hours from Edmonton.

Whitecourt is located on Highway 43, northeast of Edmonton. A short one and a half hour trip from Edmonton on a twinned highway makes Whitecourt a day trip hot spot for those needing a quick reprieve from the city.

Our spacious green zone is the first real wilderness you will travel through as you head north from Edmonton, and you will see an abundance of wildlife as you enter the zone.

If you are visiting from the north, we are the beginning of prime agricultural land and close to a wide variety of shopping, as well as cultural, and sporting events. Whitecourt is perfectly located.
