Family Violence Prevention Worker
Temporary, Full-time Position

In this role, you will work with agencies, stakeholders, businesses and other appropriate organizations to plan, promote and facilitate ongoing messaging, initiatives, programs and events for the prevention of family violence.
These 35 hour per week positions are flexible with the ability to work both remotely and in the community. This position is scheduled through the end of September, with potential for extension.
Key duties include:
- Promote family violence awareness and prevention strategies.
- Plan and organize initiatives, programs and events.
- Lead monthly Stakeholder meetings.
- Organize Stakeholder training.
- Facilitate community presentations and awareness campaigns.
From the preferred applicants, we are seeking:
- 1-year post-secondary education in a human services field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of impact of family violence.
- Knowledge of community initiatives, resources and services.
- Facilitation skills, creative, flexible, problem solver.
- The ability to work with a variety of agencies and partnerships;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A valid class 5 driver’s licence.
- A valid First Aid certificate is an asset
- Able to prioritize, plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction/supervision, and
- A high degree of personal initiative and the ability to work will independently and in the community.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a criminal record check (vulnerable sector), an intervention record check, and a driver’s abstract, suitable to the employer prior to being hired.

A Child Mind Attendant is responsible for the safety and care of children within the child mind area of the Allan & Jean Millar Centre.

This is a contract position for the duration of approximately one year. The position reports to the Manager Facilities.
Key duties will include:
- Manage and track energy-saving projects.
- Analyze energy performance using monitoring equipment and statistical analysis.
- Develop overall continuous improvement and/or energy management plans.
- Collect, organize, and analyze energy data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Motivate, coach, and train, facility management personnel and teams on energy efficiency best practices.
- Write technical reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Make procedural and policy recommendations based on information obtained.
- Perform financial, operational, and environmental analysis of energy-related projects.
Qualifications include:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have demonstrated technical and applied knowledge on climate change and/or energy management.
- Professional designation such as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Practitioner in Energy Management Systems (CP EnMS), or equivalent are considered assets.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, chemical, commercial, industrial, energy efficiency, project management (with an energy focus), facility engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with systems such as HVAC, lighting, chillers and refrigeration, motors, variable frequency drives, compressed air, building envelope, renewable energy, and process equipment.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and ability to use it effectively (e.g., RETScreen, GRITS, Energy Star Portfolio Manager).
- Knowledge of energy management systems, greenhouse gas inventories, and climate change initiatives.

Lifeguard/Instructors are responsible for the safety of guests, provision of exceptional customer service, teaching quality programs, and performing other related administration and cleaning duties at the Pembina Gas Infrastructure Aquatic Centre.
Duties for Lifeguard/Instructors include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for all guests of the facility;
- Works as a member of the Allan & Jean Millar Centre team to promote and support exceptional guest experiences; Instruction of aquatic programs, and preparation of associated forms and records;
- Greet guests with the goal of creating a fun and encouraging atmosphere;
- Ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed by all pool users;

Qualifications for an Instructor:
