Apraxia Awareness Day - May 14, 2022
Posted on:Whitecourt Town Council encourages the citizens of Whitecourt to recognize May 14 as Apraxia Awareness Day to bring attention to Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). CAS is a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to speak but with the correct diagnosis and intensive speech therapy, children with CAS can make amazing progress in learning to speak.
Council encourages the members of our community to learn about this disorder and support children and families who may be working with this condition.
