Call for Photographers

The Town of Whitecourt is compiling a list of photographers that would be available throughout the year to assist with capturing events, activities, landscapes and special moments in our community for marketing and promotional purposes. 

The Town uses images in marketing collateral from annual/seasonal publications to print promotions, and on our official website.  The photos must reflect Whitecourt’s energy and vibrancy; and reflect our passion for the outdoors and high quality of life.

General Specifications and Requirements

Photographers are invited to submit an Expression of Interest that should include:

• Details about the applicant person or company, as well as a detailed account of experience.
• Portfolio samples of photography.
• Service rates: detailing hourly and daily rates; cost per image rate; and any additional costs that may be charged (including rates for organizing media collection into a digital package, image enhancements, etc.)

Please note: Contracted photographers will be required to provide digital images for publicity and marketing purposes by the Town of Whitecourt.  The Town of Whitecourt will have exclusive ownership, and unlimited use, of all images in multi-media applications such as print, online, and other promotional mediums. 

The Town will maintain a list of photographers, and will contact contractors directly as projects arise.
