Outdoor rinks are open for the 2023/2024 winter season

There are five outdoor rink areas that will be maintained throughout the season for recreational use:
- Festival Park Pond
- Central School
- Percy Baxter School
- Southlands
- Ecole St. Anne School
Nets, benches and garbage cans will be placed today, and lights will be turned on for evening skating.
**Please note, as the Festival Park Pond is a natural feature, the ice surface may not be as smooth as the other outdoor rinks.
Crews are working to prepare the Skating Loop for use at Festival Park. Back for its second year, the Skating Loop will be located south of the pond, near the concession building. Be sure to follow this website and the Whitecourt Facebook page for updates on when this feature will be open for use.
