Whitecourt welcomes new Director of Community Safety
Posted on:The Town of Whitecourt is proud to announce the appointment of Lee Hardman as the new Director of Community Safety.
As the Director of Community Safety, Mr. Hardman will oversee emergency management operations, the Whitecourt Fire Department, municipal bylaw enforcement, and community crime prevention programming. This position also liaises with the Whitecourt RCMP Detachment on community policing initiatives.
“I am excited to be a part of the dynamic team at the Town of Whitecourt, working with the volunteers, and meeting residents,” said Lee Hardman. “I look forward to calling Whitecourt home, raising my family, and enjoying all the wonderful amenities that Whitecourt has to offer.”
Mr. Hardman brings both emergency and local government management experience to Whitecourt, and most recently worked in the City of Fort Saskatchewan. His well-rounded knowledge and skill set will be an asset to the organization and community.
“Lee brings protective services and municipal expertise to this key role, and I look forward to welcoming him to the management team,” added Peter Smyl, Chief Administrative Officer.
Mr. Hardman joins the Whitecourt team in his new position in January 2023.
